Hi I’m roughly around 6 weeks pregnant, I have irregular periods and haven’t been tracking anything. I got a possitive 2-3 weeks test last week.

anyways since about Monday I’ve been in a lot of pain with my back it’s kind of middle of my back to lower. I’ve always suffered with back pain because I’m a hairdresser but now it’s really bad.

I haven’t have any symptoms really only bit of tiredness and very sore bigger breast and very bloated (look about 20 weeks already) I’m not so worried about this as I didn’t have any symptoms for the whole of my pregnancy 4 years ago with my daughter.

But I didn’t have back pain like this at the beginning only towards the end.

Is this normal?

Also I’m not sure if to book for an early scan I never did with my daughter but we’ve been trying for 18 months and now magically fell pregnant so I’m a bit in disbelief and also would like to see a more accurate date of how many weeks I am. I’ve heard mixed things about going for them. What do you guys think?

I had such bad back pain at 6 weeks! It's just everything growing ready for baby :)

I had it in the early weeks too. I’m 12 weeks now and find it’s only sore if I’ve been particularly active.

I had an early scan at 8 weeks. I felt this was the best time to be reassured by seeing a heartbeat and it definitely helped me. I know a lot of people on here reinforce that it’s only a snapshot of that particular moment but a lot of the research suggests that once a heartbeat is visualised at 8 weeks, the risk of loss is only about 2% x

I had this with my first pregnancy. I spent a lot of time on my hands and knees because it was the only thing that relived the pain.
It did ease off after about 12 weeks and the rest of the pregnancy was fine.
