Hello! I am hoping this community may be able to give me some advice?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years (F33 & M34) it's finally happened! We believe I'm around 5-6wks so far. We had a scan around a week and a half ago at the EPU as I was experiencing a little pinkish bleeding (not heavy to show on a pad) they did the internal early scan and could see the gestational sack and what the Dr believed to be the yolk beginning to form and that he couldn't see anything to be concerned about.

However over the last few days the disparage has ranged from light pink to light brown from stringy to small clots. I'm so afraid this is impending doom and my anxiety is through the roof. I've attached pictures showing what I've had so far, sorry for the TMI. The large clot Pic is the biggest I've had and only one that size.

No blood on pads, only when I use the toilet and wipe it shows on the tissue. Nothing heavier than pictured and on and off for around 2 weeks. The stringy bits have been over the last few days and no white/grey tissue at all so I am hoping this is okay and I can stop panicking. I live on a very small island and unfortunately no option for another scan for another week.

I previously had a miscarriage at 20, 13 years ago and a medical termination due to illness 3+ years ago. I've got PCOS which definitely hasn't helped us - I am just so afraid it's going to happen again.

Hi OP. The waiting is awful isn't it? Really no one can say. I've had episodes of discharge on wiping with all my pregnancies, some of those being miscarriages but also my two lovely dc. So really, it can be as a result of something having gone wrong but equally it can just be one of those things.

IMO browner discharge is more likely to be old blood, and less of a worry, than bright red.

Thank you for your advice. Unfortunately over the last two days it's a little more red - I am not sure why all photos didn't attach on first post.

I think it's just a waiting game now. I had red and brown bleeding throughout all my pregnancies-both the ones that I miscarried and the ones that resulted in healthy babies so it's impossible to say it'll be ok or it won't.

My best advice would be to look after yourself and try to find ways to get through the next week or two-I read a LOT of books whilst waiting for scans. Hope all goes well for you.

Sorry you are going through this OP, I have had this 3 times. Once resulted in a healthy pregnancy - sadly the other two developed into miscarriage. I honestly think it is best to hope for a positive outcome but be prepared it may also not work out this time. Take care x

Thank you all for the advice. I'm preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. It genuinely helps so much to talk to people who understand the worry and anxiety. I appreciate your advice and best wishes. ❤️
