Hi guys,

so my bloods came back two weeks ago saying my hchv something was high, and my iron levels low!
I’ve recently been feeling dizzy, cold, heart palps, and really unwell, I rang the midwife’s today to say is this normal? I was anemic in previous pregnancy’s. She said they don’t prescribe iron tablets anymore?! Is this correct? I’m shocked as I don’t want anything to happen to my baby or bleed out :/

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You can buy iron otc.
Iron bisglycinate is absorbed better that ferrous fumerate/sulphate and gives less gastrointestinal side effects.

i was just prescribed iron tablets, maybe different areas have different rules but I’d just buy some if you can.

hope you feel better soon x

As pp said, maybe different areas have different guidelines but I've got anemia and have just been prescribed iron tablets within the last 2 weeks.
