AMH levels low 41

Hi all, my doctor rang me and said my AMH levels are low they are at 3.5 and is referring me to a fertility clinic and was mentioning down syndrome. I have a healthy girl nearly 2 and just wondering from reading online it says it has nothing to do with egg quality I'm so confused and upset

AMH isn’t a measure of egg quality, it is really just an indicator of how many eggs they are, not the quality of them.

There’s so many factors (and just a lot of luck) that goes into conceiving. At 41 you only have a 5% chance each cycle, but that’s not 0%, see what the fertility appointment says x

I got pregnant at 37 with an AMH of less than 2, so it can happen! I'd had multiple ivf failures before that as well.

Age is the biggest predictor of egg quality, so the chances of Down syndrome etc are higher as maternal age increases, but it's not a given.

I'm pregnant at 39 and had an AMH of 0.7! It did take 4 years but it happened after we'd given up, I'm 33 weeks it definitely can happen x
