I had a tommee tippee electric steam steriliser for my son eight years ago and I'm looking to possibly buy a new one for baby due in may. I've seen a tommee tippee one which sterilises and drys and other makes which do the same thing.
Are they good, worth buying one? Any recommendations?

Check the cycle length. We were given one that we gave away because the wash, sterilise, dry cycle was something like 2hrs?! I can't remember what brand it was. Instead we got a nuk microwave steriliser which takes 5mins and then a bottle rack that we just pop the bottles on to air dry on the counter.

We just went for mam bottles this time round. Straight in the microwave and no extra equipment needed.

Their dummies sterilize in the tub you buy them in too.

I've got the tommee tippee UV light one, if that's the one you mean. We've used it for 2 children so far so it was worth the money. You can fit quite a bit in it, and set it to keep sterilising them so you can use it like a cupboard, so good for storage as well. Bottles are dry, sterile and ready when you need them. I'd recommend it. It initially takes an hour to dry and sterilise them, or there is a setting for just sterilising which is 35 mins, I think.

I also had the uv Tommee tippee. I found it so useful that it was all sterilised and dried and would automatically re sterilise the bottles.

Another thumbs up here for the tommee tippee uv sterliser

@SideshowBobster I've been looking at the tommee tippee UV steriliser and I can't remember if you can sterilise breast pump parts in there. I'm going to try and breastfeed this time again if I can and have some bottles just in case or for out and about.

@stackhead with our son we had the mam bottles and they definitely were handy for self sterilising. I'm hoping to try and breastfeed this time again and was just thinking of sterilising breast pump parts.

@ButIDontLikePeas I've been looking at the microwave steriliser as well and just wondering if they are ok to use if you sterilise breast pump parts as I'm hoping to try and breastfeed this time again.

@H2023 That steriliser does look good, just wondering if breast pump parts can be put in there too.

@OurChristmasMiracle It does seem good that steriliser and it's functions. Would be handy. There's all different ones now isn't there. Been 8 years since I've used one.

@ButIDontLikePeas That's crazy that it would take something like 2 hours isn't it?

I combi fed and put all my breast pump parts in it, and they seemed fine.

@ButIDontLikePeas that's good to know, thank you.
