at my midwife appt this morning, she told me i had high blood pressure (I'm 38+3) and it could be bad (pre-eclampsia) or good - sign of imminent labour. I'm now experiencing a loss of fluid.. only a little, and it's clear. Am i willing it to be my waters going or could it be happening? has anyone else had a trickle, not a flood?

Quite common I believe, not much help sorry.

it is possible to have a trickle of waters, and it does sound like that. I would phone your labour ward and ask their advice

put a pad on and call teh labour ward. if it is a trickle you cannot stop, like you could stop a wee, it could be your waters leaking, you should call for advice though,.

I had a trickle and it was the pocket of water below the baby's head, which I completely did not realise at the time.

When my waters broke properly (three days later),it was very obvious, but my hospital did tell me off severely for not phoning them earlier as the baby might have been exposed to infection.

Best of luck!
