Bleed / bruising visible on ultrasound scan

I have had an early reassurance scan today, measuring at 5+6 but originally thought I was 6+2. The sonographer asked if I’d had any bleeding and I said no, she explained that there was some bruising which measured 19mm x 16mm x 16mm and has noted that there was a bleed on the report - has anyone experienced similar? I am obviously feeling concerned now.
To add to this I was already worried as this pregnancy was conceived on day 20 of my 27/28 day cycle which I presumed was ovulation day which is why I thought I was 6+2 but maybe I ovulated on cycle day 23 which leaves my luteal phase incredibly short (I have read about bad outcomes of this resulting in miscarriage) 😩

Hi, I paid for a private ultra sound at what I thought was 7 weeks plus 3 days and was told that I was actually 6+5 days. I was very sure of my dates and the sonographer told me that it’s very common for this to happen as at this early stage the tiniest mm makes a difference and not to worry. I also had bruising which they said was from my uterus stretching etc and not to worry as it’s very common but most people just don’t have scans that early to detect it. I was given a leaflet that explained all about it and how common it is :)

@AS93 thank you for replying 🥰 do you remember the measurements of the bruising? Did it eventually bleed or did it reabsorb?
Also, did your dates go back to what you originally thought at your dating scan?
Sorry for the questions! X

I don’t remember the measurements.
At my other scan it was never mentioned so I assume my body absorbed it because I didn’t have any bleeding. My dates changed slightly but never completely matched up to what I thought.
Wishing you all the best in the rest of your pregnancy ☺️

I was told the same at an early scan and asked if I had bled, I think it was larger than yours. I had a small bleed at 9 weeks, nothing aside from that, the baby was fine, just scary at the time. At my 20 week there was no longer any sign of the bruise.
