Anyone had a natural birth with a 2nd centile baby?

I'm 29w pregnant with my second baby.

My first was induced at 37w3d due to measuring on the 2nd centile, but it wasn't successful (no labour started) and so I ended up with a c-section at 38w exactly. DD came out 5lbs 13oz and perfectly healthy. There were never any concerns about blood flow, waters or cord/placenta.

I'm already having fortnightly scans because this baby is small too. He was 3.5 centile 3 weeks ago and now 1.9 centile (as of today). Blood flow, waters and cord/placenta all normal again so far.

I just know we'll get to 36/37 weeks and they'll be pushing me for an early induction again. I don't want one. And I'm not keen on an early csection either really, despite my first being uneventful and an easy recovery.

Is there any way on earth I'm going to be allowed to go to 40+ weeks in the hope of a natural labour? Or am I being foolish to get my hopes up?

Any similar stories would be so welcome, whether you did manage to ignore the noise and give birth on your own timeline, or whether you give me a reality check! Thank you x

hello,
my first baby was 5lb 11oz at 37 weeks, so my second was kept an eye on, I pushed for a natural delivery with him also he was born at 4lb 12oz and also perfectly healthy! You have to advocate for yourself if there’s nothing wrong with the baby then they can’t force you to do anything!

I went into labour naturally at 38+1 and delivered my baby. She was born 5lb 1oz so 1st percentile. I wasn’t ever asked about an induction or c-section.

Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy looking forwards.
