Ranch left out

23 weeks pregnant. I’m from the US so this ranch uses pasteurized ingredients. But I opened a new bottle of ranch today, and then my hubby obliged to clean the kitchen up putting the ranch in the cabinets instead of fridge after opening(didn’t know this at the time). Hubby makes dinner tonight and I used ranch for a dipping sauce (about a table spoon) but he had it all set up on my plate already. As I watch him clean the kitchen up again I see him place it in the cabinets.. I asked if he did that earlier and he says yes!! I ate ranch that had been setting out for 6 hours without being in the fridge. Do you think I should go straight to the ER? I don’t want this to harm the baby.

I'm sure you will be fine with all the preservatives in it ,it won't have turned in such a short time.

For just 6 hours? How hot is it there?
It was a tablespoon at most. You and baby will be fine.
It's not crack cocaine. There's enough reasons to justifiably worry about during pregnancy. This isn’t one of those reasons.
First born?

Why would you go to the ED when you haven’t had an accident and it isn’t an emergency? What would you want/expect them to do because you ate a small quantity of sauce that had been out of the fridge for six hours and presumably are not feeling unwell?

I would probably have a chat with your midwife if you are feeling anxious, as this isn’t a proportionate response to the perceived risk.

Yea. FTM and I feel like I freak out over everything. We keep our house on 72 but the temp here is in the high 20s low 30s.

Thank you! I called them and they said if I experience cramping, nausea, diarrhea and fever to come in.
