Pregnant women choices

Why do people have so much to say about pregnant women choices? I went to the gym and someone asked should I be going to the gym in my condition and I went yes it is normal and recommended to exercise. People are so clueless and judgemental. I’m hardly going to do anything that will harm my baby. Pissed me off. I go and do the treadmill and bike for half an hour. Not like I’m lifting deadweights. Another one ‘omg your working up to 36 weeks?’ Yes my job allows me to work from home and because maternity pay is so crap I would rather work up as long as I can. If I go into labour early my maternity leave will kick in automatically so what’s the big deal? I would just be sitting waiting around in anticipation and would rather keep my mind occupied in something. People have far too much to say and should just mind their own business

I feel this must be certain areas or communities. No one ever made any comments like that during either of my pregnancies.

Yep, everyone's an expert in other people's pregnancies!

I've had allsorts but just ignore it or laugh it off. I have an eye roll moment at least once every day

A man at a hotel buffet told me I shouldn’t eat pineapple as I was pregnant… 🙄

People at my work were doubtful that I'd be able to work up until my due date (in fairness, so was I, I was huge and struggling), but I wanted as much time paid before mat pay!!! I did manage it though.

I've learned over many years that people rarely think before they speak, and most of the time I let it fall on deaf ears. They don't mean to offend or irritate most of the time.

I stopped at 36 weeks and my LG was 2 weeks late so felt like I was hanging around waiting for her. Friend had hers at 35 weeks before finishing work - you can't predict it and as you say, if it does come early you'll just start your mat leave early!

No idea why people feel the need to comment!

Because it’s totally wrong 😂 old wives tail that it brings on contractions.
