Faint positive line but negative digital tests

Hi.

I took a pregnancy test 3 days ago and it had a faint line (picture attached). The line appeared quickly and well within the timeframe so I’m confident it’s not an evaporation line.

However I have taken two worded tests since and both said ‘not pregnant’. I’m really confused!

I came off my implant on the 16th January and still haven’t had any bleeding. I am bloated every day, feeling fatigue, sore breasts and nipples, had all sorts of cramping and strange sensations, nausea and heartburn. I even ate one of my fave foods yesterday and it just didn’t hit the spot like it normally does!

This will be my second pregnancy and I know some PMS symptoms can be similar to pregnancy symptoms but I just don’t know what to believe.

Thanks

Digital tests require more of the pregnancy hormone than a normal dip test does, so you'll usually not get a positive digital test as early as you might get a faint line. Can you get a different brand of test? Clearblue are unfortunately known for being unreliable! Test with first wee of the day aswell :) good luck op!

I believe the clearblue digital ultra early that just say pregnant or not pregnant is the same sensitivity as the line tests. 10miu. Some digitals are 25miu. So OP just needs to look for one that is 10miu to get a accurate result.

Thank you! I do find it really odd I had a faint line and yet the other tests are negative. I’ve read pink dye are more accurate so il get some of them instead! X

Hey. Both were 10miu as I checked to make sure they were the same sensitivity. Very baffling x

When I was testing even with the ultra early clearblue digital (with the red lights on), it still took probably about 4 days after I got a faint line on a strip before I got a positive on the digital! I think it's because even if the lines are picked up, if they're SUPER faint the digital won't recognise it. I had proper squinter lines when I first got a positive on a dip test but I knew it was there!

Ahhh ok! I did find it really odd to have a faint line yet the other tests were negative. I’ve done a fair few pregnancy tests in my time and never had a faint line!

I’ve bought the same test and am going to do it in a few days so it’s closer to a week apart and hopefully then il know for certain.

Thank you!
