Success stories after d&c/mva

Can anyone share a positive story of conceiving after a d&c or MVA? I am due the procedure on Wednesday and we are desperate to try again straight away. I am seeing mixed messages of people saying they are told to wait until their first cycle because of the uterus thining during the process. But there are many others who say they fell pregnant before their period and had a successful pregnancy. Any experience to help reassure us would be so appreciated 🌈

So sorry you are going through this @Grace2319 had a D&C myself nearly two weeks ago now. They advised I wait to have one period but in my discharge instructions it said there is no scientific evidence one way or another that it has an effect on conceiving again or future successful pregnancies. They only advise this as it helps them date the pregnancy from your LMP. We've decided to wait for my period as I don't want the added anxiety of not having exact dates meaning they can't accurately measure the baby as they have no reference. On other threads here there are success stories of future pregnancies so there is hope ✨️

Hello so sorry you're going through this ❤️ I had a D&C in September 2022 after finding out I had a missed miscarriage at the 12 week scan. I had one period after in October then successfully conceived my now 18 month old in November 🥰
