36 week growth scan - measuring small

Hi all,

Not sure what I’m looking for in this post, just a little reassurance please lovelies :)

I am 37 + 1 today and this is my second pregnancy. Because towards the end of my first pregnancy, I had high BP and was on Lebatalol until I was induced at 40 + 2 days. Which failed epically and I ended up having an emergency C/S. 😂

My hospital booked me in for a fetal doppler scan at 22 weeks and a growth scan at 36 weeks - just to be safe I think but also have elected for a c/s this time.

only at the scan baby was measuring small. I know this is quite common. Everytime the sonographer measured something, it was coming up between 33 and 34 weeks and baby is 11 percentile. Because the fluid around baby was fine and heart rate and blood flow to placenta was fine - and movements have been fine sonographer and consultant were not concerned.

I don’t have another midwife appointment now until the 28th but I’m now paranoid bump/baby is small 😂 I’m like please grow. 🙏 for additional context my son was a lump at 9lbs 2oz.

My first pregnancy i had high BP plus issues with one of the uterine artery blood flow and at the 36w scan, DD1 had dropped below 10th centile. They booked me for an induction at 39w. So if you are above 10th centile, plus already got a ELCS booked, I would imagine they aren't that worried as there's already a plan for baby's arrival. When is your ELCS booked for?

DD1 was 5lbs 12oz so quite little. She needed tiny baby size for a while so might be worth having a pack of vests + sleepsuits in that size, just in case!
