HCG levels- what is normal?

Hello everyone,

After having two early MCs, I am now almost 6 weeks in my third pregnancy and got a blood test done just for a bit of reassurance as I don't have a scan for another 2 weeks and symptoms seem to come and go. I took the blood test when I was 5w 3d and I got the results back which were around 35,700. I know that each pregnancy can be different and levels vary hugely, but I just wondered if this seemed high? Did anyone else have bloods around 5/6 weeks and what were your results if you don't mind sharing?
I'm happy to have high levels just wondering if there is such a thing as having too high levels..
Thanks everyone!

Hi, I don’t mind sharing my results, mine was 15,600 at 6 weeks. Mine was a couple of days behind in terms of growth. Your results do seem quite high - the ‘normal’ boundaries at 6 weeks are about 200 - 32000 so just outside of the upper boundary. The first thing that comes to mind is possibly twins??

Thank you for your reply, hope all is well/ went well with your pregnancy ☺️ It's difficult to know what is normal as there seems to be such a huge variance between people! I'm going to get another test next week just to check my levels again. I am a twin myself so I'm not sure if that makes me more likely or less likely to have twins! 😂
