Our surgery wouldn’t do a BT in this instance, unless you mean go private?

When I had ivf we had a blood test on day five after embryo transfer. That was 10 days after ovulation.

I think they did it for statistics as a positive pregnancy test this early didn't guarantee a baby.

@KindCritic sorry you are in this limbo. You can find all sorts of private companies who will do a pregnancy blood test. The cheapest I found was £40 I think. But most home pregnancy tests are pretty sensitive. An FRER will pick up hcg at around 7-8 and I found that the internet cheapies I had did the same. So I think that you are unlikely to get a different result. If you are correct with your dates (and there are always months that are a bit different) then you would expect to see a line by this stage on a home test.

Sorry - am not sure which result you are hoping for but best of luck either way x

No NHS GP will do a blood test because you are five days late.

You wouldn’t be able to do this on the NHS. If you are 5 days late due to pregnancy then an at home pregnancy test would be showing by now.

You won't get a blood test for pregnancy in the UK. If you miss two periods in a row you can make a GP appointment but I think they probably won't do much.

Are you trying to conceive?
