Infection after c section

Hello,

4 months ago I had a c section. After the operation I was in A LOT of pain and was told I have an internal infection. They never said precisely what the infection was, but I was given antibiotics.

I’m starting to worry whether me having an infection from the c section could affect my chance of having more children.

has anyone else had an internal infection following c section? And if so, how was it being able to conceive after?

About 3 weeks after my section I was hospitalised for a week with an infection or reaction. We actually never got to the bottom of exactly what it was but it was believed to be linked to the section/the drugs given etc.

Awful at the time but 4.5 years later I'm now 34 weeks pregnant with DD2 - just hoping it doesn't happen again this time!

After I had my 4th a few days after my c section I had very heavy bleeding. They took a swab and it was Group b strep. Had antibiotics. The only thing they said was if I was to have vaginal delivery it was something they would have to deal with at the time as it can affect baby. I am not sure if everyone is automatically tested for it now or not. They didn't used to. I hadn't even heard of it.

I've unfortunately had this after both of my sections, and am currently pregnant again. So no issue with ttc here, second babe was conceived as soon as we decided to try and this current pregnancy was a surprise one. The antibiotics should have done the trick and can't think of any reason why that would affect conception
