hi everyone, me and my partner have been TTC baby 2 for around 18 months just found out I’m pregnant says 2-3 weeks.
We haven’t done anything differently this month I don’t track ovulation as I have irregular periods and my gynaecologist told me not to track and we just dtd it whenever we feel like it.

im just in disbelief because this is the first positive I’ve got and I don’t want it to be too good to be true.

I’m on the wait list for a laparoscopy and dye obviously will have to ring them to take me off the wait list (might wait till 12 weeks just incase)

My question is how do I figure out how far I am when I have irregular periods shall I just ring the doctors to book a midwife appointment ? And also would you recommend early scan? When I was pregnant with my daughter we just waited till. 12 weeks but I feel pregnant straight away with her

Congratulations that's lovely news! Sending good vibes for a smooth pregnancy! If it's a clear blue saying 2-3 weeks that means 2-3 weeks since conceiving, so translates to 4-5 weeks pregnant. I wouldn't do an early scan sooner than 8 weeks, very difficult to measure/date a pregnancy prior to this and I find for majority of women they just cause more worry if done earlier.

Congratulations OP! 2-3 weeks on clearblue would make you 4-5 weeks as it goes from ovulation. Personally I would book your midwife appointment based on that but perhaps leave the laraposcopy thing until 12 weeks. Depending on area it can be a 2 year wait (I unfortunately have experience!) no rush to cancel just yet xx

Congratulations! So pleased for you.
I'd definitely get refer to the midwife service first- might be worth googling your area- since my last pregnancy in 2022 mine had got an online referral form which went directly to them.
I'm not sure how it works but with no regular LMP date to use I wonder if they NHS might want a scan to give them a timeframe for the dating scan?
Could be wrong but migth be worth waiting to see 😊

Congratulations! It took us 18 months to conceive our second and we'd just been told we'd need ICSI so it took me ages to actually believe it was true. I ended up having 2 private early scans to check all well. Now 32 weeks!

Thank you girls. It’s a difficult time when you’ve just found out. Almost feel lonely because you’ve got to act like things happened, want to tell my daughter (4) but I know she’ll tell everyone can’t keep a secret 😂

just another question I forgot to ask I have a emergency c-section with my daughter with this one will it bet let my consultant or anything or will the pregnancy just be same as before? (if no complications 🤞 )
