Stabbing pain and a cough

I've had a cough/cold for a week, and every time I cough I get a painful stabbing feeling quite high up in my abdomen on the right hand side. When is it reasonable to speak to a GP?

I've also got gestational diabetes and managed to fall down the stairs last Friday which has left me with some interesting bruising on my foot but no lasting damage 😫

I feel like I'm falling apart, but even if I go to the GP about the cough will they realistically do anything about it after a week? It's really painful, but I appreciate that doesn't mean there's anything the GP can do.

Get it checked, hope you feel better soon 🙏
