Bleeding for whole first trimester

Hi guys!
I am just reaching out as I’m absolutely fed up feeling anxious and stressed out about bleeding on and off this whole pregnancy so far.

I am 13 weeks 4 days pregnant with our first after 5 years of ivf (3 previous ectopic pregnancies and a miscarriage!)

this whole pregnancy I have had bleeding every week, ranging from light brown spotting to full red gushes of blood. I was diagnosed with a SCH at 6/7 weeks however at my 12 week scan I was told this had resolved and couldn’t be seen on the ultrasound however the technician had a hard time seeing much as I have a extremely retroverted uterus. I had no bleeding for the last week however I have just been to the loo (opened bowels, so some light pushing involved, sorry 🙈) and had bright red blood that although wasn’t a gush it was enough to be dripping into the toilet bowl.

long story short - is there anyone who has had bleeding pretty much their whole first trimester and had a positive outcome?

also

just out of interest has anyone found a link between bleeding/sch and a blood thinner as I feel like every-time I have a bleed is when I have been back on the blood thinners again.

Hi I didn't want to just read and run as I'm 5 weeks 2 days started bleeding Sunday only slightly though compared to what I would on af and my previous mc but I can't get seen till 6 weeks. I don't have any information for you sadly I just felt like I was in the same boat in a way

Yes. IVF pregnancy too and I bled on and off up to 24ish weeks. Sooooo awful and stressful. You really have my sympathy. I did end up with a healthy baby at the end.

Can you come off the blood thinners? They won't be helping.

I had bleeding throughout my first pregnancy off and on. I also had a big bleed at 36 weeks, and again after delivery at 38+1. Baby was healthy throughout and is now 4 years old. Wishing for a positive outcome for you too and all the best with your pregnancy moving forwards.

Thank you all for the reassurance it’s just such a stressful time. I have waited so long for this pregnancy and just wish I could relax and enjoy it a bit!

heres hoping it eases up! 🙏

How are you doing? I’m in a very similar situation! I’ve had spotting since about 5.5 weeks and countless scans didn’t find the SCH until last week when I was about 11.5 weeks! It measured just over 2cm then. Had my 12 week scan yesterday and the sonographer couldnt find it and said it had gone!! I woke up this morning to spotting and so I’m convinced it’s still there haha!

I was told by a midwife to stop taking aspirin last week so have done, but no idea if that was making it worse or not!

I feel more reassured as I think I know what the source of the bleeding is but it’s still really hard! Really hope it resolves for us both ☺️

Hey I'm 10 weeks pregnant and have been on blood thinning injections since 4.5 weeks due to a previous miscarriage which caused blood clots. I've had spotting twice and both times I've been heartbroken thinking the worse. The midwives and doctors have advised its a side affect of the blood thinning injections, but doesn't make me feel any better.

Is there any update @Mambo86 @DenimPanda and @Fairydreamimg?

I've been on on blood thinners and aspirin for 2 weeks and began bleeding yesterday at 7weeks pregnancy.

Could you let me know if you stopped your blood thinners and/or aspirin and how things progressed? Would really appreciate it.
