I am a size 8 and having a mare getting maternity clothes that arent ridiculous prices. have been on ebay and managed to get a few pieces but i need more!

Been on all websites and there are like tshirts for £22!! I dont want to spend that on clothes i wont wear again! No one has any to pass on and stuff from ds is wrong time of year!

Help!

Do try Freecycle as loads of mums will be looking forward to getting rid of their maternity wear! I put a wanted notice on and specified my pre-preg size and that I was only 5' 3 as well. I did get some trousers that needed taking up but one woman was about the same size as me and very pleased that she would be able to pass clothes on to someone who needed them.

Lots of my clothes in previous pregnancies weren't real 'maternity' clothes. I don't really appreciate the tent look and prefer to have clothes that hug my bump. So I also agree with getting larger sizes from New Look/ASDA/Gap and sports shops.

That's a good idea, mummypig. I might try passing on some of my stuff.

Are you anywhere near a Next outlet store-you know, the ones that sell last seasons/end of range stock.

I bought loads from the one at Street when pregnant with DS including some cropped jeans for something ridiculous like 75p (they had racks of them for some strange reason). Its not all theat cheap obviously but good value

I got most of my maternity stuff in George @ Asda. It was cheap but lasted me through 2 pregnancies! When I was in there yesterday they had loads of maternity clothes in their sale- jeans for £5 and tops £3-4. Bargain. wished i was pregnant again!

Dorothy Perkins maternity and next

also agree with mumblesmummy

I went to New Look yesterday and although some of the maternity stuff looked horrible, I bought two very pretty vest tops for £20 total. Other stuff was even cheaper.

Mad4mybaby- the asda wallmart shops sell the maternity ranges. or tesco's aswell - the tesco extra stores sell maternity ranges. you could try asking in your nearest shop
