Bfp then Bfn??

Hi there,

I have no idea when I ovulated but here's a short story to what's going on:

Last period was 10th Jan 2025 and I did have small spotting on the 24th of Jan so maaaybe ovulation.... I expected to start 8th of Feb 2025 (Ovia App). I thought I did as I got some spotting and used a tampon... When I went to change it well there wasn't much blood but I carried on and three later still not much.

Long story short there's some blood when I wipe but none comes out onto my underwear and I'm now on day 4 of spotting.

Yesterday around 5pm I got a bfp (picture attached) but then this?morning I got a bfn.

Has anyone experienced something like this or have any advice?

It could be a very early chemical pregnancy. Iv just had one I was initially testing positive lines were quite faded like yours, then negative soon after.I found the bleeding started slower than I was expecting and didn't really amount to much at all just 3 days not even heavy enough to fill a pad.

I thought it was strange at time but its obviously so early you don't bleed loads? I'm 4 weeks past it still waiting for the proper 'bleed' testing negative just confused about it all.

I didn't get checked at all at epu I tried but because I was testing negative they didn't want to check me.

It's crazy frustrating... Hubby and I live in different countries and he comes home maybe once a year... We've been trying for the past 3 years and this Feb decided if it happens it happens but let's concentrate on me immigrating to him this year. We drank and enjoyed ourselves pretty hard😂

I only tested because I had a dizzy spell yesterday and my 'period' has been weird. We both told ourselves yesterday to not get too excited but of course you can't help it and we are both a little heartbroken about the bfn.

I suppose I can only give it some time and test again in a few days. I considered going for bloods but I also don't know if that's necessary right now.

I hope you get some answers and all the confusion stops soon too.

Little update - I took a test first thing this morning and another faint positive. Just going to wait and see what happens... Maybe test again next week.

Get a digital test. By now it should pick up the hcg. Good luck.

Oh wow positive again that's great
