I went into the fetal assessment unit yesterday with reduced movement, baby doesn’t really have a pattern as it is but there movements where a lot less strong them usual and I wanted to get it checked out , they done a heart trace on baby and there was unexplained decelerations on it so they repeated it again after a few hours and it was the same, they also done a scan to check baby and all was good and they decided the decelerations was normal for my baby but to come back next week for a check again , any one else have this??

I had reduced movements with both of mine. But their heartbeats were always fine. I would maybe ask for a second opinion. I wouldn't be happy about it sometimes you have to be pushy.

Not had this but you/partner just have to keep being assertive. Especially if you don't feel reassured. Have they put a plan in place? Is there a monitor you can wear/have at home with you, so that you can keep a closer eye on things.
Good luck and please don't worry about making a fuss xx

@SnakebitesandSambucas I was in with my first aswell with reduced movements (32 weeks and 40+5 weeks ) but never had any concerns over their heart rate.

@Mumofoneandone ive just been told to keep a eye on moments (they have improved today thankfully ) and to come in next week but didn’t say anything more.

they were going to keep me in yesterday but changed there minds on it for some reason , they seemed very busy I was left holding the monitor thingy to my belly as it was losing contact.

Definitely keep an eye on it especially at this late stage. Sometimes they don't take us seriously. But I'm always insistent if I need to be. Not risking anything. You will never regret a check!

Anyone else have something similar??

Hi, how are you getting on now?

MissyB1 · 13/02/2025 17:55

Hmmm they really should have kept you in, don't hesitate to go back if you aren't happy. How are things now?
