Looking for some advice please. I’m about 6 weeks with baby number 1. For the last week I’ve had no appetite and a bit of nausea that has come and gone throughout the day so it’s been quite manageable. The last 48 hours have been rough and it really seems to have ramped up. I’m feeling nauseous constantly and being sick about 4 times a day. I’ve managed to keep some food and sips of water down today. I’ve lost about 3kg in the last week. I’ve decided to take a couple of days off work now because I just cannot function with it alongside exhaustion. At what point should I contact my GP?

When you can’t keep anything down, then I’d seek help. Although if you get worried you could contact 111. Keep sipping water and eat small amounts often. I had HG and as a general rule on the days that I couldn’t keep water down, let alone food, I’d go into hospital.

Now.

You're off work.

GP can prescribe anti emetics.
