I had a missed miscarriage at 9/10 weeks this time last year. Currently 5/6 weeks pregnant. I’ve been vvv busy, moving house and going on holiday in space of a few days. Had loads to do but been taken down by a terrible flu. Taken down and bed ridden for last 24 hours.

I am spiking low grade temps and in so much pain all over my body. I’m due to go on a long haul plane ride in 2 days 🥺 but more worried about the baby.

anyone else had flu first trimester? Was baby ok? Have never been worried in other pregnancies but pregnancy after a traumatising missed miscarriage is just awful. I’m annoyed at myself for being so busy/going to soft plays with my toddler/sharing my toddler food when he’s been poorly/ not sleeping as toddler been waking multiple times a night / packing boxes for moving etc and just generally just not looking after myself and now the consequence is I am very poorly.

please someone reassure me that baby will be ok 🥲

Im 30 weeks with a 22 month old toddler. I have spent more time ill this pregnancy than healthy.

At 9 weeks I had a horrible cold and a cough so bad I was bed bound, being sick from the cough. A cold has never made me bed bound before, only the flu. I needed antibiotics in the end by 11 weeks to get better from it all. I went for a private scan at 10 weeks because I was concerned about the cough but everything was ok.

I had an even worse time at 24-26 weeks where it was a very bad cold and cough again, then a sickness bug which wiped me out. In between 11-22 weeks I had on and off colds for half of that time too.

Take paracetamol to help with the temp, and if it doesn’t help contact your gp.
