17 week private ultrasound

Hey all,
I had a private scan yesterday to see the gender of baby, they have said they believe it’s a girl as it was hard to see on the scan. However I have seen on the photo that baby is 9.6cm in length, I have read they should be around 12cm! What were all your babies lengths at 17 weeks? Should I be concerned?

That is the deph that is displayed on the screen not the length of the baby.

Aw ok! I didn’t know this, I just assumed it was the length of baby! Thank you!

Don’t mothers get the NHS scan at 20 weeks anymore.

They do, but there are now private scan places which many excited mothers to be like myself struggle to resist as we like to see the baby/get reassurance (though sometimes the latter goes wrong)

Thanks, I just wondered if it had changed since I had my mine 28 and 32 years ago.

Whenever you go for a scan, you will be told if there is anything to be concerned about.
Don't overthink and look for issues that aren't there or it'll be a very long and stressful pregnancy.
