Hi everyone,

Just curious as to how long your early labour lasted with your first born? Was it days or hours?

Ive been having contractions since yesterday which keep stopping and starting - becoming more intense and then fading. Has anyone else experiences this?

1 whole week and it was horrendous! As I have 3 other children to look after too!

My whole labour was 4 hours. My waters suddenly broke at 11am when I was out enjoying myself, totally unaware that i'd be having a baby that day - son was born at 3pm!

Slow labour for about 2-3 days. I had contractions for 2 nights on the run, then finally by the third night it was the real thing.

Just over a week, 8 days ish and still ended with an induction because despite the regular contractions it hadn’t actually done anything! But then I have one friend who literally went from nothing to baby in her arms in 90 mins so there is definitely a huge spectrum!

First baby slow/early labour for 24 hours followed by waters breaking and fully dilated very quickly.
A week on and off with my third, but true early labour was 15 hours.

About 5 hours from first definite contractions to delivery. But probably slow labour for days first.
When I went in for my induction with 2nd I was already slightly dilated and didn't even know although I'd had a feeling labour was imminent.

my first - had contractions on and off for a day, the intensity ramped up & by the time I went in to get checked the following morning I was already 4cm & then had baby by the end of the night

DC 1 was born 2 hours 2 minutes after my waters broke and 1 hour 15 mins after my contractions started.
