Please someone reassure me. Just had a private scan as so anxious and I have been told the following

1 gestation sac containing:
1 live embryo with a visible heartbeat measuring 19.80mm. Yolk sac seen. Placenta seen.
The uterus contains an area of haemorrhage measuring 16.1mm x 7.7mm x 16.5mm and 1.071ml.

Please can someone reassure me that this isn't a huge thing to worry about and also I mentioned I was going on holiday next week and they didn't seem concerned.. should I not fly?!

Hey,

Firstly congratulations😊

Obviously things can be different for different people but didn’t want to read and run! I was told a I had a SH at around 10 weeks and that this likely due to implantation and the blood building up rather than having implantation bleeding - they said it wasn’t anything to worry about but warned I may start to bleed. I had some spotting over the following week or so but then there was no sign of this at my 12 week scan & pregnancy has been fine since.

I know it can be worrying though, so you could always give your GP, EPU or midwife line a call to double check travel safety and get a second option x

Pregnant with twins, I had a bleed which lead to a scan and them telling me I had a SH. After the big bleed on the first day it got much lighter and I continued with brownish spotting for about 5 weeks then it stopped. I also had a flight booked but the Dr wasn't concerned about it particularly. Since then they haven't seen the haematoma on scans xx
