Hi all!

just wondering how accurate the below link is for calculating smp? Some months are different and the monthly amounts are slightly more than smp when I calculate it which I’m confused at.

I think it's because some months have 4 weeks or 5 weeks in them maybe?

It's extremely accurate.

Smp is calculated in full weeks ending on a Sunday so it varies month on month a bit.

@HateThese4Leggedbeasts @anonhop thank you both for replying. I just realised this myself! It was a long day when I was looking at it lol.

Hi all, recently found out I’m pregnant. I’m really worried I won’t be entitled to smp I’ve been employed by my employer for nearly 10 years I recently took on a new position will this effect my smp?

thank you in advance

It shouldn't do, no. My understanding is that it's just about how long you've been employed by this employer, even if you changed positions in that time
