Hi , I am new to all this maternity care in UK and I am considering to opt for private MW but hospital birth. Just wanted any recommendations for MW who serves harrow area. Also how to check if MW are registered with NMC and what should I ask to check their qualifications. Also are there any private midwife who are allowed to take part in clinical decision or oversee ones and suggest/ advocate my choices during birth?

I've had a midwife from Private Midwives for my last birth - a planned home birth. I think whether or not they can be part of clinical decisions depends on their relationship with the hospital. Mine didn't have that but stayed with me when we transferred in for forceps. Sorry I can't answer all of the specifics of your question but I was happy with Private Midwives and have booked with them again this time so I'd recommend them.
