Breastfeeding and pregnant - faint line positives?!

I am TTC my second baby. I am breastfeeding my 14 month old but not exclusively. My cycles are irregular and I ovulated around day 21/22 of this cycle. I am currently on day 45. I have been having faint line positive pregnancy tests since day 38 (so for the last week). I have had pregnancy symptoms for the last two weeks. Has anyone else had this or should I prepare myself for this pregnancy ending if my hcg levels are low?

I wouldn't shut yourself down completely just yet. Unless using the LAM method for breastfeeding and contraception, your chances of conceiving are pretty normal. You only need 1-2 periods per year to fall pregnant apparently (according to one of the consultants I work with!)

I would request a blood test with your GP to check your hCg levels properly. I stressed so much when I first found out I was pregnant and those little hCg sticks drove me up the wall with anxiety because they aren't simply reflective of the numerical level of hCg in your body. Please don't give up hope! Also, I would try a digital pregnancy test. I found that I had light hCg lines but a 2-3 week estimation on a positive pregnancy test!

@emmap86 I conceived both my 2nd and 3rd while breastfeeding. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and my 2nd who is 21 months is still breastfeeding. I'm hoping she stops soon when the milk changes. I second what the pp above suggested about checking hcg levels with GP if the tests are not getting darker. Good luck!
