DS name is Fenton.

I still like:

Lilia (girl)
Kye (boy)

Loads of greek name sout there that are really unusual.

wheresmyfroggy · 22/01/2005 21:34

Dd has a greek name sonnie

Miaou · 22/01/2005 21:37

My dds are called Caitlin and Eilish. Db will be Ishbel (or perhaps Iseachbel - gaelic sp - only I don't think I've spelt it right!) if a girl or Cameron or Finnian if a boy. Also like Erin, Euan and Callum (though not so unusual now).

jessicasmummy · 22/01/2005 21:42

i like Layla for a girl and Orkney for a boy... but i always tend to settle for traditional - boring me!

Sonnie · 22/01/2005 21:43

Wheresmyfroggy: whats your DD name? I really like the greek girls names - they sound so pretty.

wheresmyfroggy · 22/01/2005 21:44

Her name is Thea
Thea Mae .

wheresmyfroggy · 22/01/2005 21:46

Theadora is lovely but bit too long so settled for Thea.

Sonnie · 22/01/2005 21:46

That is a pretty name.

lucy5 · 22/01/2005 21:47

My dd is called Poppy, which I still love. Although I think it may be more popular now, bloody Jamie Oliver.

unicorn · 22/01/2005 21:50

arianne + enotalya..( i think spelling is correct)
are twins in the vicinity.

I'm sorry?

I have worked with children for around 12 years, so may be able to help you with some unusual names.
Right, some of the boys names I have come across are: Jaden, Aston, Storm, Brook, Chad, Rylan, Mckenzie, Mason, Marley, Levi, Bailey (never heard it for a girl though) and Tyler.
For girls: Savannah, Anais, Tallulah, Jessamy, Carys (was one on my list if ds1 had have been a girl), Morgan, Zophia (she has a sister called Blaize!), Anya, Willow, Eilish, Addy, Atlanta, Freya, Genevieve, Iris, Shay, Maya, Marla and Mica.
If any more spring to mind I will add them later!

blueteddy · 28/01/2005 19:35

A couple more!
Boy: Cory, Joss, Harley, Brady, Caleb.
Girl: Rhea (or Ria), Coralie, Estelle, Ashia, Saskia, Shauna, Surian and Aprilia (although she was named after a motorbike!!!)
Will keep thinking of any more!

blueteddy · 28/01/2005 19:51

Also knew of a girl called Jazz! ( not short for Jasmine!)
Oh & there is Summer for a girl, which is quite pretty.
I also knew of a little girl called Keegan.

fimblesfan · 28/01/2005 20:07

How about Poppy for a girl or Blake for a boy.

i know its not particularly unusual, but I think Martha is a great name (I would say that its DD1s name).

Failing that, follow the lead of my ex next door neighbour, arty type, who suggested I call my baby Zinc........!
