I have already had around 6 days off in total for pregnancy related illness, I have now been off since Wednesday with really bad sickness and nausea at 17 weeks pregnant, was due in today and also tomorrow but I am just so ill still. The cyclizine 50mg isn't doing anything for me this time round (I think I am on a lower dose) - I just want to make sure, I cannot get in trouble for having this much time off can I? It has been roughly 10 days in total I have had off (not consecutively). A lot of this is due to lack of sleep from feeling so sick late at night and early hours, waking up and feeling so sick with terrible headaches.

If it’s all been recorded as pregnancy related sickness then no, it should not be counted for absence management purposes.

Hope you feel better soon!

I was off for 3 weeks. My sick note said pregnancy related sickness and fatigue and my manager was fine with it all when I came back, just told me to take it easy and let them know if I need anything. Pregnancy is hard, we can't help being sick, and I think if you're off for a pregnancy reason it's different than normal sickness so should be alright. Hope you're feeling better soon!
