I was prescribed this around 5/6 weeks and had to stop taking it. Mainly because it made me feel really drowsy and dizzy so actually didn’t really help with the sickness! If you aren’t getting on very well with it let your midwife know and she can prescribe a different medication for sickness

I was prescribed this early on but it didn’t make much difference I found, neither did the next medicine often prescribed - Promethazine. I was prescribed them for crippling nausea, I wasn’t actually being sick, just struggling with very debilitating nausea. I ended up stopping it around 8 weeks and continued without any medication, even though the nausea remained the same. I managed each day as it came by trying different approaches. I found eating little bits often helped, sucking mints and drinking sugar-based drinks in between water (I really went off water) - specifically orange Capri-suns. It was about creating a strict routine and sticking to it. I’m now 16.5 weeks and still struggle with nausea and the delightful new symptom of heartburn which is causing me to cough a lot and retch. I keep focused on each hour of each day and not feeling bad for not enjoying a single second of the pregnancy. Getting through each day means one day closer to the end. I hope you find some relief in the coming weeks but please do manage your expectations better than I did. I was hoping to hit week 12 and feel like a new person which a month on still hasn’t happened and now I have finally accepted that this could be how I feel for the remaining pregnancy.
