It's nearly time and every twinge I'm like is this it?!🤣

Where did you actually feel contractions? I was under the impression it was at the top of the bump..?

For me it was strongest in my back, I couldn't really feel the early ones in my front, then it spread to lower abdomen (like a period), then it ramped up to my whole body, crushing my ribcage and making it hard to breathe.
Back to back baby though so not necessarily how anyone else feels it.

Mine started as tightnesss across my belly then my back & all my lower body. Sounds odd but you just need to try to relax into it. Good luck.

For me it was lower abdominal area. Sort of the same area you’d get period cramp.

Have you ever moved in bed at night and got cramp in your leg where it builds up to a crescendo of pain, then eases off?

Mine were like that. In between contractions I was fine.

You can feel them coming, it’s not like a sudden jolt of agony. So I used the build up time to brace myself, steady my breathing and to grab the gas & air mouthpiece. 😁

Oo yes this is what mine feels like! Had a few at about 1am then it died off. Had 2 in the past hour but died off again 🤣🥱

I'm 36+3 today but after having loose stools all day yesterday and still this morning!! And started loosing parts of my mucus plug on Monday I'm wondering if my body's getting ready😅 this little chunk estimated weight at his scan yesterday was 7lb8 and midwife said his heads very low🫣

Definitely getting ready!

A couple of nights before I went into labour I thought I had a bug as I was puking all night. Apparently that and/or loose stools is very common before the main event.

Good luck when it comes! We’ll be needing an update when it’s over! 😊

Baby is definitely getting their eviction soon! The best time of your whole life is probably a few days away. It’ll be amazing! 😍

This is one of those things that really differs. My contractions were all in my back, every time. I never got any of the belly tightening people talk about.

medievalfreak · 05/02/2025 13:53

everywhere from under ribs down, like being squeezed in a vice😁

TheCosyOliveKoala · 05/02/2025 13:57

I had literally the classic start from the back and radiates round to the front, like a wave. I woke up in the early hours and just knew I was in early labour. You will just know.

User79853257976 · 05/02/2025 14:22

Started in lower abdomen, then progressed to everywhere.

2020N · 09/02/2025 16:53

Mine were all in my back and thighs.

All mine were in my back!

sanityisamyth · 09/02/2025 18:49

I didn't feel any round the front. DS was back-to-back with an anterior placenta. Contractions felt like somebody was grabbing my kidneys from behind and then wringing them out.

2020N · 09/02/2025 19:29

Yeah… they were fun 😂currently 25 weeks pregnant with my second so it’s allllll coming back to me now!

I had an extremely similar situation.
