Hi, af arrived 28/12/24 normal 28 day cycle. I got a positive test 22/1/25. So I worked out that my due date would be 4th Oct.

Anyway the midwife phoned me to book me in for bloods etc and she got my due date at 28/9/25

Am I missing something? That would put me at 6 weeks 3 days not 5 weeks 4 days which I originally thought.

Please help 😂

I would think you were right too, my last period was the 27th dec and I’m due 3rd October! No idea what’s happened there 🤣

The midwife should go with LMP initially until your 12 week dating scan.

28th December plus 40 weeks would be 4th October, no? I'm with you on this.

Regardless, you will get your official due date at your scan so that should clear up any discrepancies

Even the NHS calculator says EDD 4th October based on your LMP. Go with that, it will adjust once you have had your dating scan at 12w. Congratulations

On what basis did she set that as your due date? It sounds to me like a pure mathematical error on her part. I had to correct my midwife when she was working out when our 24 week appointment would be - she literally just miscounted the dates and tried to book me in a week earlier. I told her she was wrong, she reviewed her calculations and amended the appointment.

Anyway as PPs have said, it's the 12 week scan that will give you your up to date EDD so for now whatever she's put doesn't really mean much.
