Hey everyone,

I am 4w2d pregnant, I first tested positive at 8dpo and have had very strong tests since then, getting darker each day. I had some mild nausea, very sore breasts and some fatigue but over the last couple of days I've noticed my breasts aren't as sore and the nausea seems to have gone. I've been on progesterone since 9DPO and haven't had any spotting or bleeding but I have been having twinges/ very mild cramps over the last 3/4 days. I have had two early MCs before so I'm really hoping to get further this time but concerned that some symptoms have gone. I have also heard that progesterone may 'delay' a MC. Has anyone had a similar scenario to the above and if so, do you mind sharing your experience/ outcome?

Hi OP,

I am 4 weeks 2 days as well 🥰 IVF pregnancy here and I’m going to say that your nausea was down to the progesterone. I was nauseous during my first week (before the transfer) but have had barely any since. I think as your body gets used to it you don’t feel sick. I’m sure that will change as morning sickness kicks in! It also causes relaxation of the gut and constipation that could also explain your cramps. Try not to worry, progesterone is great but has some vile side effects.

Ah congratulations! ☺️ That's really helpful info, thank you. Have you had any other symptoms so far? Yes, I suppose it is still very early, it doesn't help I had different symptoms in both of my other pregnancies so feels like you have no 'norm' to go off and this is also my first time on progesterone. Wishing you all the best in your pregnancy!

No problem at all, congratulations to you too! I have mild cramps, sore boobs and I’m shattered. I think it’s all down to the progesterone tbh as I didn’t even know I was pregnant at this point with my non ivf baby,or could be being 8 years older this time 😂
