Hi guys, just looking to get some advice, I gave birth around 5 months now. Had quite a hard pregnancy towards the end suffered with lots of pelvic floor pain. However I’m still suffering with the same pain, I still get that horrible pain/heaviness when walking about and sometimes shooting pains in the vagina still, it’s not as bed but it’s still here. Did anyone else experience this after giving birth? Just getting me down now I just want to feel like myself again 😞

Mine lingered for a while. I saw an osteo and very slowly did some reformer Pilates (I'm not an active girl) and I could eventually dance, play netball etc

I never loved doing a lunge and certain things I just felt I could feel different but I wasn't miserable about it

See an Osteo and Chiro if you can? And try and look after your body like you are pregnant you know with the opening of the legs, avoiding stairs etc

Hormones are probably still settling

Really sorry hope something changes soon

I'm pregnant again and back to it!

@jumperoo2738 thanks for the reply! Can I ask how long did it take for your aches and pains go away? Sometimes I still feel pregnant, I really don’t feel like a 28 year old with all pains I still get it. Thank you! And I hope everything goes well for the baby!! X

It's a little bit hazy in all honesty. I just checked my messages and 3 months after birth I had a Mummy MOT and still had PGP and the physio told me it was unlucky as most recover by 12 weeks. The advice was to strengthen my pelvic floor (I bought the Elvie device) and then tried reformer. I built up slowly from there. I don't remember being as miserable about it after a while. Sorry my memory is so fuzzy!

Maybe get checked and make sure it isn't anything more. Definitely worth exploring all you can now and not letting yourself have years of problems x
