No fetal pole

Hi. I feel like I've posted excessively lately (even though it's been only 3 threads) so apologies for being dramatic.

I went for a scan last week as I was having pains and was unsure how far along I was. Turns out I was only showing 5 weeks. There was a yolk sac but no fetal pole. I've to go back next week when I would be 7 weeks to see if anything has progressed.

My dilemma is I usually suffer with HG and I've only had mild sickness. I'm also in moderate pain with cramps etc. No bleeding. I should be 6 weeks today I just don't feel it.

Any stories - good or bad - of this happening?

Every pregnancy is different and just because you had HG previously doesn't mean it'll happen again. Also 6 weeks is still early for symptoms and has no bearing on the outcome next week, there's plenty of time for them to start

Thank you. I've always been so so sick and poorly and (regrettably) terminated a pregnancy at 6 weeks 4 days due to how horrific the sickness was and having 2 small children to care for. I'm often bed bound or in hospital by this point. Hoping it's just lucky that this pregnancy is different.
