Pregnancy cravings- pickles

I am pregnant and severely craving pickles/gherkins but only the really sour ones, like at McDonald’s/subway.

Can anyone recommend some gherkins/pickles that are really sour and vinegary and not just those sweet ones. I’ve tried loads and none are hitting the spot😩.

I hear ya, sister! I went through that phase, too, but it was short. For me it was a crunchy Greek salad almost every day. I had to have bell pepper, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, tossed in vinaigrette with croutons lemon and feta or I'd be very, very angry. I added fresh mango or Mandarin oranges ftw. 😂😂😂
But, back to you! I googled quick dill pickle recipes. I'd make some. You don't need to go through the canning process, keep in the fridge, ready to eat. Easy as.

I’m obsessed with Greek salad at the moment too! I usually use similar to you but watermelon as well and then a balsamic glaze. It’s so addictive 😩.

Oh greek salad sounds AMAZING. I'm obsessed with balsamic pickled onions at the moment, not a cheap craving. Mango too and my other half has had a shock with how much that costs 😅

But.. back to your question! M&S burger pickles, in a glass jar. They're crunchy and still tart. They are already sliced tho.. whole ones the epicure ones are the best I've found but they're not super easy to find

I go through a jar of Lidl gherkins a week. They're just like McDonalds ones and really hit the spot!

I went to subway and bought tubs of pickles off them when I was pregnant with dd.

Absolutely love a pickle!

I also went through the pickle phase, but also liked beetroot and capers (same vinegar taste) and then anything pickled like ginger and kimchee!
