9 weeks-'menstrual pain?'

Hi, I am in the 9 week and since a couple of days I am having mild period pain. It happens sporadic during the day (nothing when i sleep). NHS says that some period pain is normal but as this is a new symptom for me I am being a bit worried. I also have a rather big belly for being this early. I suffer of adenomyosis and endometriosis but the dr said they should be dormant during the pregnancy. Anyone with similar experiences? I have no blood and almost no other symptoms. I am just very hungry all the time.

I don’t have any advice but just wanted to say that I’m experiencing the same period types pain on and off, and have been even since before my positive pregnancy test. I also have endometriosis and adenomyosis. Everything that I’ve read suggests that some cramping in early pregnancy is normal as long as it’s not accompanied by any bleeding.

I've had four beautiful babies and it's happened all throughout the first trimester every time for me. I spent the first three months in a state of panic thinking there would be blood every time I wiped and that I'd lose them but it was just normal stretching pains where everything was developing.

Do you have any bleeding or unusual discharge accompanying the pain or any shoulder pain?

Sorry just re-read the OP and realised you have no other symptoms Flowers

Thanks that's reassuring! I am looking forward to the first scan so hopefully this anxiety will stop

Very normal OP! Especially since you're NOT bleeding. I'm 33 weeks and still get period like cramps on and off sometimes :) the first trimester is so hard with worrying! Sending you a hug x

I’m 9 weeks as well and on Friday for the first time had some period like cramps and my lower back hurt all day. No bleeding. Have also read it’s perfectly normal and can come and go - I was back to normal by Saturday morning. It is so scary but from the sounds of it completely normal!

Yes this was me a few weeks back, described it exactly like period cramps. I read that it’s your muscles and uterus growing and harmless especially if you have no other symptoms such as bleeding.
had my scan last week at 11 weeks baby growing well with heartbeat x
