Northwick park vs Barnet hospital?

Hi everyone!

I've just found out I'm pregnant and had a really awful time at Barnet hospital with my 1st which ended in a midwife getting struck off. I had a csection that I was incredibly anxious about and that part of it went well.

Does anyone have any recent experience of northwick park or Barnet?

I'm not sure whether I stick to what is familiar given that I am hugely anxious and worried or go to a different hospital

Had babies 6 and 2 years ago at Northwick Park. Generally very happy - after birth care a bit patchy on first one, second one there was a shortage of delivery rooms (i.e. staff) so I didn’t get pain relief I planned but ended up fine. I live in the area and have probably spoken to about 20 ladies about their experience there: largely positive, but would say 3/4 people have had a fairly bad experience.

In the last 8 years I've had 3 babies at Northwick park hospital my experience was positive my midwifes where great.
I also give birth at Barnet 18 years ago and I also had a positive experience there to the midwifes I had where great.

NWP's maternity unit has got better over the years apart from the lack of staff
