12+4 weeks miscarriage - D&C

Good morning all,
Apologies if I'm in a wrong group.
I wanted to ask - 5 days before midnight our baby's heart stopped beating, 3 days ago I had D&C followed with nearly no cramps and bright red blood spotting. Today morning, the 3rd day after D&C I'm having period like cramps and period like amount of blood... is it normal that the bleeding and cramping starts after a couple of days?

My opinion, I don't think it's normal to have cramping after D&C. Usually, the cramping in the early weeks of pregnancy is tell tale signs that a miscarriage is imminent. I have had a missed miscarriage before, cramping heavy around 10 weeks but no bleeding (so I don't think I was miscarrying). Had D&C and after no cramping and no heavy bleeding. Bleeding should stop within 5 days. If there is cramping and continuous bleeding you should go see the Doctor as they say sometimes there is an infection. I know someone who had a D&C and they did not do it properly so she had complications after and she had to go back and get the procedure done again.

I'm so sorry. With my 12 week miscarriage and D&C I had quite a heavy period following, some cramps but it was like my usual period, no more painful. The physical symptoms eased up fairly quickly. It's an awful thing to go through, you have my sympathies x
