TTC after Chemical Pregnancy

Hi,

I sadly had a chemical pregnancy in October 2024 and we decided to start trying straight away. Lots of people online have said they were able to fall pregnant quite quickly and 3 cycles later i’m starting to feel really disheartened as it hasn’t happened for us.

I also had a short cycle last month ( 23 days instead of my usual 28-30) and this has also made me worry. I also didn’t get a BFP on any of my Tesco ovulation sticks this month.

I know I shouldn’t feel down after 4 months of TTC but knowing I had a chemical pregnancy in cycle one of trying has made me feel down. x

I had one in Jan last year, didn’t ovulate in Feb and pregnant in March (baby is 11 week) don’t feel down- I know it’s really sad but 4 months is really early days and it’s so positive that you know you can get pregnant. Just hold onto that! I imagine it’s just taking your body/cycle a little time to readjust!xx

@NoobieDoobie11 Thank-you, this has made me feel some reassurance, TTC is just so difficult x

@TTC1998 TTC can be so intense and I always find it strange that people don’t really talk about it openly. I fell pregnant straight away with my first and my second was the chemical pregnancy. I really think it’s a massive positive that you know you can get pregnant! I also tracked ovulation but not sure if that puts more pressure on everything and less relaxed. I took a conception multi-vitamin and kind of believe that helped me too! Good Luck - I’ll keep everything crossed for you!xx

I so agree, no one talks about it enough, it is so isolating! I really am clinging on to the fact that a chemical pregnancy shows I can get pregnant! Sending baby dust your way, thankyou! xx
