Itching in pregnancy

I’m 27 weeks and pretty itchy. I’ve got tested with bloods for the cholestatis of liver but my bile levels were normal at 3 and normally if it’s 14 or higher they would investigate. Can’t help but still worry but I’m thinking it’s just general itching. Anyone else had itching?

I did with my last pregnancy in the third trimester. They did the liver tests and said they were normal and put it down to hormones . It was quite annoying, I remember trying different things like creams and aveeno oat baths, nothing really worked but it did eventually go away at some stage ( I can’t remember how long it lasted but a few weeks anyway) Did you ask the midwives if they have any recommendations?

yes - horrendous itching with my second and third pregnancies (both girls as it happens). It stopped the day I gave birth. My obgyn recommended acupuncture for me

Is it PUPP rash? I had it towards the end of my last pregnancy. I was so itchy and nothing helped and it left a horrible rash! The itching stopped as soon as I'd given birth but took a little longer for the rash to disappear.

They prescribed me antihistamines so I’m going to see if they help

@NMc16 that’s good they gave you something anyway hopefully yours will go away. Mine had gone by itself by the time I was in labour anyway I remember that much but had it a good while.
