Hi all, I’m feeling really stressed. I went for a blood test this morning and everything came back as normal except for the the protein levels in my urine which is 28.4mg/mmol
I am 19 weeks and 5 days pregnant and I know this can a sign of preeclampsia
I have to go back tomorrow to retest

Try not to worry (easier said than done). If you're having another test tomorrow then they'll be able to keep an eye on you, so you're in the right place.

Fwiw, I had high protein in a dip test and ended up having to re-do it three times(!!!) and whatever it was went away, and my tests have been clear since.

I hate doing urine tests now but it's always worth checking that you wipe your bits before you start, wee a little bit, wipe again and then take the sample mid flow and making sure the bottle isn't right up against your bits. Sometimes we can accidentally get discharge/whatever which can skew the results.

Good luck, but if it is preeclampsia, it isn't a death sentence and can be managed. ❤️

@OptimisticRealist2024 Thank you for your kind reply. I appreciate it.

I did the urine sample mid morning without having drunk any water since the night before so I wonder if being dehydrated had something to do with it...
