Is it to early to book at scan around 7weeks pregnant. Anyone else had one that early?

We want to book a scan that will place me around 7 weeks I think. I ovulated 28th/29th December and first positive 6th of January.

Is that enough time to see something and get reassurance? Thanks.

If you see a strong heartbeat on an early scan, and measurements are within range then that is actually a really positive thing, and reassuring. Yes, things can still go wrong but much less likely.

I think the stats on that are not very well researched because how can they be when most women don’t get scanned before 12 weeks? I’m in no way unusual. We saw a heathy heart beat at 6 weeks and 8 weeks with one of mine. It had stopped at 11 weeks and 5 days. When I had my next pregnancy I didn’t bother with any unnecessary scans because they wouldn’t have provided any reassurance unless I was scanned every single day. My concern with these private scan places as well is they’re not set up if something is wrong. They’re only there to sell you photos, videos, teddies with heartbeats gender tat. The woman that scanned me at ultrasound direct with my miscarriage couldn’t get me out of there fast enough, didn’t give me any advice and as soon as I left I got an email from them congratulating me on my pregnancy and a video of my completely still fetus.
