I'm 37+4 and just been to the toilet and had this.....is it normal to be so red?!

That looks like a show to me.

It's normal for the mucus plug to have blood in it. Have you been having any symptoms of labour?

Yes looks like mucus plug to me. Are you able to show this pic to your midwife? Are you having any pains too to indicate labour?

I’m a midwife. This is a bloody show and completely normal.

Ooh this is an exciting development and very normal!
I think you’re not supposed to have a bath once you’ve lost the mucus plug so avoid that but keep moving if you can 😊

Hiya, thank you all for replies. I've had reduced movements so came up to assessment unit they have confirmed it's my plug but have kept me in due to sleepy baby on monitor. Hopefully things are starting slowly 🤞
