So I found out relevantly early I had sore boobs for 3 weeks so took a test I been trying for 14 years. I am pregnant so happy words can not describe but I had very bad symptoms now from the start. My period would be now for the past 4 weeks all I have felt is extreme tiredness as if I have been hit by a truck loss of appetite and nausea. The way I feel is almost like a flu can just about move out of bed. Body feels so weak. I can handle the nausea but the tiredness I am in bed by 6pm wake up the same I started taking folic acid. Did anyone feel like this so early I am starting to think I am more far gone but I had a period over Christmas so doctor said must be 4 weeks any idea guys I just do not feel normal I am only 32 but mom says it is my age. I had my daughter at 18 so do not remember feeling this bad just some morning sickness. Can anyone share stories maybe make me feel a lot less hopeless then I do now.

Hi! I can relate here. I had my first at 17, I remember nausea& some tiredness but this time round (26) I feel like I can't do anything I'm constantly shattered! I'm 4wks6days

angelpa · 28/01/2025 08:05

She this too soon, I've had a scan to confirm how far I am as well as blood hcg levels, I've also got very tender breast, heavy bloating and very gassy ( with gas cramps)!

Sqwoosh · 28/01/2025 08:16

When did your symptoms actually start? Because they date a pregnancy from your last period but you’re only actually pregnant for 1-2 of those weeks. If you’re 4 weeks you’ve only been pregnant for the past 1-2. If you’ve had symptoms longer than that you might be further along and your last period was potentially heavy implantation bleeding.

Okayornot · 28/01/2025 08:17

OP, if your period is due now then you conceived only two weeks ago, and the embryo would have implanted a week ago so it is impossible for you to have been having pregnancy symptoms for 3-4 weeks.

Either you've had some sort of virus which has given you fatigue and the other symptoms or you are further along than you think. Sounds like it might be worth a blood test or early scan to confirm the position in a couple of weeks.

I have a feeling this is heavy implantation bleeding but it was 7 days heavy my last period started 24th December period before that was 26th November

It sounds like maybe you have a bug or flu alongside the pregnancy. You wouldn’t have symptoms for that long if you’re only 4 weeks.

angelpa · 28/01/2025 09:32

No, my last period actually puts me at 8 weeks.. but when I went for the scan& bloods they told me I'm 4 weeks and 6 days today. However I am a bit irregular! I've only had symptoms for the past 6 ish days but they get slightly more intense every couple days!

I noticed a difference in my tiredness between my pregnancies with first not having taken fertility/pregnancy vitamins before falling pregnant and then years later when I had been taking them beforehand. My tiredness started at about 3-4 weeks when I didn't even know I was pregnant yet. I remember just being tired/out of energy every day on the bus and had to take a nap when I got home. If you are only taking folic acid perhaps you could try adding pregnancy vitamins and see if you feel less tired.

Babybaby2025 · 28/01/2025 09:50

You could have a virus/cold alongside early pregnancy.

I got the flu at 6 weeks pregnant just before Christmas, when people ask how I found the first trimester it was hard to answer as the flu knocked me off my feet for weeks, so was difficult to know what was pregnancy fatigue, or the flu aftermath.

But saying that it is normal to feel like crap, my friend is 11 weeks pregnant and she said she feels hungover, sick and weak everyday.

sel2223 · 28/01/2025 10:09

You are either further along than you think you are or you have been suffering some kind of bug for the last month.
As others have said, if you are 4 weeks now going from your last period and due your next period right now, then you only conceived approx 2 weeks ago.

I found out I was pregnant at 10DPO which would place me at 3 weeks pregnant according to my LMP.

All I can say is I felt like I had been hit by a bus, reversed over and hit again. I never had bad morning sickness but I was constantly nauseous, terrible heart burn and very poor sleep. This continued all the way until the 10th week where I started to feel more "alive"! My nausea is much better, I sleep better but I am still quite tired during the day! I hope your symptoms ease of soon however I have noticed with alot of ladies on here, we suffered alot until after 9 weeks!
