How confident can I be that this is positive and not an indent?

I’m 4 days away from my period.

Line showed up in the time frame of 3 minutes.

I will do another one later this evening to check.

Thoughts?

Very confident, congrats xx

BusyCaz · 27/01/2025 23:13

Congratulations x

It looks positive, it’s feint because you are possibly 10dpo which is quite early. Save the test until morning or in two days time to see a better progression.

sel2223 · 27/01/2025 23:18

Tentative congrats but agree with pp, leave it 48 hours to allow the hcg to increase and test again then.
Good luck

MyPinkFish · 28/01/2025 00:33

100% confident that you're pregnant x

Beeches24 · 28/01/2025 02:55

I would say early positive. Red dye is also less inclined to give an indent. The line appeared in time and is not broken.

Beaubaby · 02/02/2025 07:19

So I’m still testing positive. Tests don’t seem to be getting any darker and they are taking the full 3 minutes to show the results. There has been no immediate line!

I’m not very confident this is going to end well.

pic of test taken on Friday and then one taken this afternoon (Sunday)

They certainly look darker than the first ones you posted! Have you missed a period?

Beaubaby · 02/02/2025 07:30

@sel2223 Yes. I think so. I’ve had 35 day cycles. I counted this one as 28 so possibly 2 days late.
I don’t track cycles.

They are darker. With all due respect stop looking for line progression. All tests tell you is if you are pregnant. I know this time is a lot of worry but look after yourself.

I have some irregularity with my cycles too. In your case, I would take your longest cycle of 35 days and consider that a missed period.

I had cycles up to 50 days and only tested on cd56. I know it's hard but it saves so much worry and anxiety

This!

I completely get the worry of early pregnancy, it's awful. But a test won't tell you of the viability. You're pregnant!!! Good luck and sending you a hug xxx

@Beeches24 @Shahhhh

Thank you, it’s very hard not to get caught up in testing and staring at lines!

I’ve had a few losses and it never gets any less stressful.

My last baby is 2 and I remember getting that positive test and it was so dark I never tested again!

I have bloods and midwife on Wednesday so will just trust the process and go from there.

my test this morning has given me some peace of mind.
🙂

@Beeches24 Little update. Bloods taken on Friday (possibly 4+6) hcg 1400. Test looked good.

midwife has said that unless I show signs of miscarriage then she doesn’t want to test hcg again, I’d rather have the test and know to be honest but I guess I’ll have to wait until the 27th Feb for my scan. Fingers crossed.

That's brilliant. Very happy for you. Find different ways to distract yourself until 27th. If not a private scan in a week may help reassure you. Great hcg level. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy.
