Please report back if this is the case! A few nights ago I dreamt I had a boy! I’m 14 weeks today, I’ll find out in 6 weeks if it’s a girl or boy 😆

If your period isn’t due for 14 days you probably won’t even have ovulated yet so it’s 100% far too early to test. You can’t test positive until the earliest 6 days after ovulation and even that is very very rare. For most people they won’t be positive until 10 days past ovulation. The egg needs to fertilise then the embryo implant. Then your body will start producing HCG which tests pick up. And the HCG needs to be high enough to show on a test. This all takes a few days to a week minimum.

Are you tracking ovulation with test strips or anything? Tracking ovulation and understanding how conception works will save you money on tests in the long run. It’ll save you testing when it’s pointless like mid cycle.

Yes i am tracking ovulation with strips, i will have to wait closer to my period to get a more accurate result, i just wanted to share my experience to see if any of people have experienced the same and ended up being pregnant

That’s good you’re using ovulation strips. I just wanted to help you not waste your time and money using pregnancy tests this early when it will 100% be negative.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been guilty in the past of testing too much and too early (like 6dpo etc). But using a pregnancy test before you’ve even ovulated is honestly a total waste of time and money. Only use a pregnancy test at the EARLIEST 9 or 10 days after you get a positive ovulation test. Anything before that is pretty much guaranteed to be a disappointment.

It’s also fine to just ask for people’s opinions about dreams etc for a bit of fun. That isn’t the issue honestly. I only meant to help you regarding testing far too early.

I understand thank you, i have tested to early in the past and definitely got upset that it wasn't positive but it wouldnt of been positive either way due to being too early and yes it does feel like a waste of money, thank you for your comment
